We’d love for you to join us for some great 4 Wheeling, fun and food at Tahoe Donner.  On September 7^th, the Tahoe Donner 4 Wheel Drive Club will hold its 5th annual Sierra 4x4 Trails and Ales.  The single day event will begin with an exciting and challenging trail run of the Bear Valley OHV located about 10 miles north of Truckee. 

Following the trail run, all participants are invited to join us at Northwood’s Clubhouse at Tahoe Donner for some fun activities.  The Clubhouse has Bocce Ball, Horseshoes, Volley Ball and Corn Hole and we will have some music and a cash bar.  Then at 5:00PM we will have a delicious BBQ buffet under the tent behind the Clubhouse.

Registration:  The vehicle driver registers of one of two runs, either the one at 10:00 or the one at 11:00.  If you preference is full, try the other one.  Arrive a half-hour before your scheduled run.

Non-drivers can register for the barbecue only.  There is a reduced price for kids under 12.

The ride:  We begin at Tahoe Donner and proceed to the Bear Valley trail about 20 miles to the north.  Any 4x4 with low gears and good ground clearance should be able to handle the trail because there are bypasses at the major obstacles.  Stock Jeeps have run the trail successfully.  That said, the trail is narrow and does not work well for wide vehicles like full-size trucks.   Runs will be led by an experienced club member, and we will have spotters and winches at the tricky spots.

The BBQ:  The buffet includes:

• Caesar salad
• Marinated tri-tip roast
• Herbed chicken breast
• Grilled summer vegetables
• Macaroni and cheese
• Loaded potato salad
• Baked apple crisp

Beer and wine will be on sale.
