Events - Event View

Winter conditions have made it hard to find a run for this early date, but we have a route picked out. We will visit the old mining camps of You Bet, Red Dog, and Buckeye Diggings. These are across the Bear River from the Dutch Flat area.  

This ride will take us into an area we haven't visited before, and we don't know exactly what we'll find. We expect fairly mild dirt roads, but the winter may have left wash-outs, mud holes, and other obstacles. The elevation ranges up to 4500 feet, so we may even hit snow. We plan to ford Greenhorn creek, but, if the spring runoff is going strong, we may need to adjust the route as we go.

Bring a lunch and a full tank of gas.  And re-check our list of Equipment to Bring.
