On Saturday, April 30 we are holding a 4WD skills day at Prison Hill, an OHV area in Carson City. The Skills Day is a great opportunity for those new to off roading to learn about equipment on their vehicles, like lockers, 4WD low and sway bar disconnects. We’ll demonstrate airing down to increase traction and ride comfort. Additionally, we’ll go over basic recovery procedures, winch and kinetic rope, and other safety equipment. You’ll see modified Jeeps and have the opportunity to ask owners about lifts, tires, axles, winches, bumpers and skid plates or other 4WD questions you may have. You’ll learn about trail etiquette and “tread lightly” responsibilities.
Prison Hills has numerous short trails and obstacles to practice on including deep ditches and steep hills. We will help you gain confidence with your 4WD vehicle off road. Join us for this fun day of skills building. Register at TD4wheelers.org
