Then we’ll stop for lunch near Sardine Point, view huge Western Juniper Trees and then go on to Babbitt Peak Fire Lookout. Due to the Bear Valley Section, this trail is rated 3/10 which is suitable for high clearance, stock 4x4 vehicles.

Gold Valley Trail via Packer Lake and Plumas Eureka State Park. This is a pretty trail in the Gold Lakes Basin and is rated 3/10 making it suitable for stock, high clearance 4x4 vehicles. We’ll have an opportunity to explore Plumas Eureka State Park. There is the option for those wanting more of a challenge to climb up to Gold Lake via the Snake Lake Trail hill (that we normally go downhill). If that optional section is selected it is rated 5/10 and is only suitable for modified 4x4s with lockers.
